New to fifa 18 and squad battles.
After buying every fifa since 12 on release day, I’ve waited a bit longer for this one.
I’ve just started playing squad battles and am quite enjoying it. However I am struggling to score against legendary difficulty opponents, and was wondering if anyone has any tips for what formation or play style to use.
Also - do low shots not work against the computer or something? Seems like whenever I try one they just hit row z, whereas when I play online pretty much every one goes in.

What’s the deal with World Cup?
We’re celebrating the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ with a free* FIFA World Cup™ update for FIFA 18 starting May 29. Get all the information about World Cup on easports.com.
We know you’ve got questions, so here’s what you need to know:
Play both single-player and online tournaments as well as single-player and online drafts, and complete Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) to earn rewards. Get more information on the modes from easports.com.
Make sure you choose your supported team wisely when you create your FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team Club. You can’t change it or your Badge later on.
You can’t delete your FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team on its own. Creating a new FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team Club will require you to delete and recreate your entire regular FUT Club.
The Web and Companion Apps don’t support FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team.
How do FIFA World Cup™ Packs work?
For every FIFA World Cup™ Pack that you purchase with FUT Coins or FIFA Points, you’ll get an equal value Pack to open up in FUT.
- This does not apply to FIFA World Cup™ Packs you’ve won from tournaments. You won’t get a FUT Pack for any FIFA World Cup™ Packs that you’ve gotten as rewards, only ones that you’ve bought.
What stuff carries over?
Certain Items can be used in both regular FUT and FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team, but others cannot. Here’s the breakdown of what you can do with your Items:
Your FIFA Points and FUT Coins
Use the FIFA Points you’ve bought and the Coins you’ve earned in FUT to buy Packs in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team. You’ll have a shared wallet between FUT and FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team, so spend wisely.
Draft Tokens
Just like Coins and Points, use any Draft Tokens you’ve earned or got from Packs in FUT to play both Offline and Online Draft Mode in FIFA World Cup™.
Consumables
Any Consumables you get in FIFA World Cup™ can be used in FUT and vice versa; they’re shared between both regular FUT and FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team.
What doesn’t carry over?
Players
Any Player Items you get in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team can only be used in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team, and regular FUT Player Items can only be used in regular FUT. Your two teams can’t crossover.
Stadiums
All twelve stadiums from the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ in Russia can be used in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team, but you can’t use them in regular FUT. You also can’t use stadiums from regular FUT in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team.
What can I do with my FIFA World Cup™ Items?
All FIFA World Cup™ Player Items, Managers, and Stadiums are untradeable. That means any Players you get in the FIFA World Cup™ Packs that you buy or earn cannot be sold, since there is no Transfer Market, and you can only use them in FIFA World Cup™.
Any duplicate Player Items that you get don’t have to be quick sold in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team. You can hold onto up to 100 items in a Duplicate Player storage area.
You can use those duplicates for FIFA World Cup™ SBCs to get FIFA World Cup™ rewards, but you can’t use them in an SBC directly from Duplicate Player storage. Make sure you swap them into your current Club first so you’re using the duplicate for the SBC, and not a Player that you’ve added chemistry Items to or gotten the loyalty bonus on already.
You can still quick sell your FIFA World Cup™ Consumables, since those are shared between regular FUT and FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team.
Why aren’t FIFA World Cup™ Players showing as Bronze, Silver, or Gold?
Even though it doesn’t show, Players still have ratings that correspond to Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
Items you get, like Contracts, will still apply to Players based on their rating, just like they do in regular FUT, even though you can’t see if they are Bronze, Silver, or Gold.
Want to know if they’re Bronze, Silver, or Gold based on their rating? The ratings are: Metal fury beys.

- Bronze: Players rated 64 and below
- Silver: Players rated 65 to 74
- Gold: Players rated 75 and above
Why don’t the Players I get in Packs have loyalty bonuses?
Unlike in regular FUT, Players you get in FIFA World Cup™ Packs don’t come with loyalty bonuses on them already.
Play 10 matches with them to unlock their loyalty bonuses.
Are there ICONS available in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team?
Yes there are. There are four FIFA World Cup™ specific ICONS (Nakata, Lineker, Moore, Klose) that are only available in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team.
There are also regular FUT ICONS available in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team. However, only one story for each ICON is available.
When you’re applying chemistry to your ICONS in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team, you’ll notice that Players that do not share the same nationality of the ICON and are not ICONS themselves will have weak chemistry links. For stronger chemistry, use Players that share nationality with the ICON. ICONS will also have strong chemistry links with other ICONS.

Play FIFA World Cup™ Kick-Off, the authentic 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ tournament mode, or Custom FIFA World Cup™ Tournaments.

All 32 teams that have qualified for the FIFA World Cup™ will be available as well as some non-qualified teams that can be used to play in Kick-Off, Custom Tournament, and Friendly Seasons even though they aren’t in FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team.

Will FIFA World Cup™ still be in the game after the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ is over?
Yes, it will! You will be able to continue playing it even after the actual 2018 FIFA World Cup™ in Russia has ended.
Players from each of the 32 teams that qualified for the FIFA World Cup™ in Russia will be available.
You’ll also be able to play with licensed FIFA 18 national team squads that didn’t qualify in other FIFA World Cup™ modes outside of FIFA World Cup™ Ultimate Team.
When the FIFA World Cup™ update is released, most of the 2018 FIFA World Cup™ eligible players will be in the game. We’ll be working to add more players throughout the tournament.
